Well i started out wit ha new update.
Except the page closed down in between.
And now i'm royally sleepy.

Hence - this post is dedicated to people who wana skeep and who don't even know what they're writing anymore.

Good night and God Bless

12 hrs later

Lord i was dozing back then.

So. I shall make an A and B case outta this. (Man i've always wanted to say that)

and now i shall continue later. I'm playing the part of Agony Aunt.

gawd knows how many days later

Rite so lets see- it was P's party the other night. Another dance party. Another night of saying "no thanks i don't wanna dance. no really i don't" and smiling nicely so that they'll leave you alone.
And then J and N were obviously there. J was hyper as usual. N was ummmm weird as usual. V was sweet. But then she loves dancing - so there wasn't much company for poor old me.
S was there and she also hates dancing. 3 cheers for her. Parmi was real sweet. Her family was also there. And we were sitting and chatting with almost everyone :D
The food was amazing and so was the cake :D
Parmi dances real gracefully. Ditto V and P. Its nice to see them dance.
There was also a Vivek-impersonater. Ditto hair, similar face structure. Fun to watch.
The guys of course were highly entertaining. They were fixing the a/c in teh middle of some song. Their dancing style was awesome. No really. Okay its not like i can comment on them when i suck myself. But still.

Then there was my happy budday. Nasir was all alone poor guy. I mean the only guy.

Okay there is no poiint in the rest of my update. But i shall ramble on.

Mom was all like "you're gonna miss deepti aren't you?" in the tone of voice which suggested as if i was gonna miss my boyfriend. hehe. fun though. It actually seemed as if she would miss her more than me :P
kidding paddy - i'll miss ya loads!!

Blee. now i shall end this great-and-oh-so-pointless post.

sukanya

PS: I realised this morning how much i'm gonna miss deeps when i realised i cannot keep sending pointless msgs. SIGH.

Meet Mr. Bapat

I'd like to introduce you to Mr. Bapat. He was an employee of NTC (I'm sure you've heard of the whole mill land thingy) My mom was working on that matter (She's a lawyer) From December till the end of January the matter was being argued in the Supreme Court, Delhi. Both my mom and Mr. Bapat spent a long time there. They worked long hours. And inspite of the fact that he wasn't the General Manager or something - he was one of the hardest workers..
To me - at first he was "Bapat-NTC" on my mom's cell phone. Just a client. I figured he was this middle-aged maharashtrian fellow. Conformed with the faces of other clients I'd seen.
Then i emailed a few things on behalf of my mom to him. "avinashbapat..." Avinash?? Sounded too New-Age a name for Mr. Bapat.
Then we called him up when i was considering Civil Engg for the first time. He was a civil engg.
My mom told us a lot about him. His quirks.. his kindness... He was a nice person you know.

And then the terrorists attacked. He died in the train which lies at Jogeshwari.

And i haven't ever seen his face.

How does one grieve for a person one doesn't know? How does a person grieve for all of those people out there who just died?

As i've read somewhere before - the only consolation one can draw is that they died without knowing it.

May they all rest in peace.

Do those darned people have a heart?

Yrch (no connection to this post)

First of all - go but a Krissh CD. It puts you to sleep and its reusable.
The saving grace of the movie- Naseeruddin Shah. Sadly he didn't have much to do. Complete lack of logic in the movie. I'm thinking these directors/story writers should have lessons on logic.

Now for Superman Returns. Very noisy. There's only so many times that loud noises are interesting. Brandon Routh is hot. And he acts well :) My Hero.Kate Bosworth is a good Lois Lane. The developments in the story are nice. All in all - worth watching.

Okay so this update wasn't about movies. It is about J.R.R. Tolkein. And about how great a story teller he is. Think of Brom sitting and telling you a story by the fireside in an opening in the wood
(or of that old movie where Mehmood is scaring Om Prakash with out of his wits) Think of how mesmerised the listener is. Imagine picturing the entire story unfold before your eyes - complete with magical men, fantastic beasts, tales or terror and sorrow..
And Tolkein is able to create that in a book. Just as if a great orator were reliving a scene for you. And his characters are real. Not super-human. They don't always do the right thing, they each have their faults. (yeah i'm sure Aragorn has them somewhere too :P )

I realised this somewhere between the pages. What are all these books about - stories rite? Well thats why LotR takes the cake :)

Besides - there is no "protagonist" Frodo has the toughest job, Aragorn has a lot of responsiblity, Gandalf is understated but he's the one who's done the most..

I;m so glad I read the book again. Otherwise I would've known only the gist. Nothing else. Now i wanna get hold of his other books. Aargh.

Oh and one more reason why Krissh is crap - its basically a never ending advertisements. Did the producers or whoever know before hand taht the movie wasn't gonna work? Maybe thats why they took money for advertising every damned product possible.

I'm talking to too many people on MSN and its impossible to keep track of what i'm writing here. So toodle-oo and toodle-um
